Hidden Diamonds

What’s there: City park set on 48 acres featuring pavilion, playground and splash pad; baseball and softball diamonds. Camping with electrical and water hookups is available.


Owen Park

Location: 510 E. Main St.

What’s there: The park is located at Main and First streets across from the Central Noble Schools complex. Pavilion, picnic tables, grill and horseshoe pits.


Valley View Park

Location: 411 W. Main St.

What’s there: The park is located two blocks west of the Noble County Courthouse square. Baseball and softball diamonds, pavilion with picnic tables, playground, grill and concession stand.


Chain O’Lakes State Park

Location: 2355 E. 75 S.; 260-636-2654; .

What’s there: The park is a small boater’s paradise. Eight connecting lakes are the center of your adventures. Paddle through the chain of lakes, hike the trails, swim at the beach, visit the Stanley Schoolhouse or attend a nature program at the nature center.



Eley Park

Community Park

What’s there: Ball diamond, tennis courts, running track, picnic pavilion and community center


Bixler Lake Park

Location: Park Avenue; 260-347-1064;

What’s there: Campground, walking trail connects park to outdoor recreation sports complex on South Allen Chapel Road. Tent or group camping, more than 100 campsites with electrical and water service, RV hookups, nature preserve, public lake access, ball diamonds, beaches, sand volleyball courts, fishing and playground. No alcohol is permitted. Summer weekends and holidays; $2 per car without a city resident pass. Additional charges for camping facilities.


Sunset Park

Location: 520 Weston Ave.

What’s there: This 32-acre city park offers three ball diamonds, full-size soccer field, pavilion, shuffleboard courts and the area’s largest playground.


Outdoor Sports Complex

Location: 524 S. Allen Chapel Road

What’s there: This 89-acre sports complex contains four lighted ball diamonds, three soccer fields, basketball court, shuffleboard court, concession stand, restrooms and playground.

Rome City

Kelly Park

What’s there: A popular place for family gatherings and sports leagues; tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, soccer-football field, playground and covered pavilion


Gaff Park

What’s there: Three-acre park shaped like a bowl with sloped sides are perfect for sledding and community concerts


Lakeside Park

Location: West side, Sylvan Lake

What’s there: Shore fishing access, basketball goals and playground


Grant Park

What’s there: Baseball diamond and playground close to an elementary school


Sycamore Park

Location: Indiana 9 north

What’s there: This one-acre park is on the site of the Sylvan Lake spillway and has a steep hill for sledding



Taylor Park

Location: South on Indiana 9

What’s there: Playground, ball diamond, picnic pavilion and basketball court


Wolcott Park

What’s there: Natural area with pond and walking path
