Come out today and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and see the antique farm implements display at the Sower Farmstead on the Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site. Dick Griffis of the DeKalb Horsemen’s Association is on hand to answer questions about the implements, some of which date back to the 1800s. The association has opened a new museum near Auburn, dedicated to draft horses and mules with an extensive collection of horse-drawn equipment.
The Sower Farmhouse is also open for tours today and Sunday at the same time. Stop in and see the Noble County Convention & Visitors Bureau’s new home and learn about the rich agricultural heritage in the region.
