Albion Indiana, our county seat since 1846, is both the geographical and governmental center of Noble County and is home to approximately 2,000 residents and to our historic courthouse.  It is one of two Albion structures placed on the National Register of Historic Places, with the other being The Old Jail Museum.      This fascinating Museum, constructed of thick Indiana limestone, displays Noble County artifacts and gives the visitor a glimpse into life behind bars in a typical prairie town in the 1800's. Visit both the jail....and the attached sheriff's home and learn how his family cooked and did laundry for the inmates.

Each year, multitudes of visitors enjoy Chain O'Lakes State Park where visitors can rent lakeside family camping cabins or camping sites from primitive to full-hookup.  This is also a great place for swimming and boat rental!

Black Pine Animal Park is a
non-profit exotic animal sanctuary, and is often a "last chance" refuge for animals in need.  We exist to give rescued and retired exotic animals a safe haven, to educate people, and to enhance their knowledge of exotic and endangered species, and of responsible pet ownership.

Over the past 6 years, a loving, hard-working, and dedicated group of volunteers has given new life to Sweet Church in rural Albion.  After years of deterioration and returning to the dust of the prairie, Sweet Church is once again a precious place for people to gather and memories to be made.  The moment you step through the simple brick church’s arched doors you experience a sense of peace and a sense of living history. The little brick country church is located in Jefferson Township, Noble County, Albion, Indiana. It was build in 1875 as a non-denominational church and named for James Sweet who donated the land on which it is built.  The restoration process is near completion and the church is available for use.  For more information or to reserve the church, email: schoon@ligtel.com .

Albion is home to Noble County's newest recreation attraction:  York Hills Horse Park.  Boasting "Only horses all the time", this beautiful 635 acre trail riding facility is open to those who want to bring their own horse and enjoy Noble County's rolling hills, fields, and woods.  See site our our "Outdoor Recreation" tab for details.
