Visit downtown Kendallville this Saturday afternoon and evening for the 11th annual Kendallville Car Show! More than 150 sparkling vehicles are expected to wow spectators, according to event coordinator Howard Mapes. Food items for the Kendallville Friendship Food Pantry will be collected. The event also features door prizes, food, a Hula Hoop contest, a 50/50 drawing, and musical entertainment. The entrance to registration and the car show will be at William and Orchard streets. The show will be held rain or shine.

The gates at Lincoln and Williams streets open at 3 p.m. Registration is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The judged car show entry fee is $10 per vehicle. Volunteers will park entries on a first come, first served basis. No saving of parking spaces will be permitted. Groups need to arrive at the same time in order to be parked together. Owners who plan to bring their vehicle on a trailer are asked to call Mapes at 260-347-7777.

Awards will be presented at 8 p.m and include Best of Show, Mayor’s Trophy, Police Chief’s Trophy, Director’s Trophy, Top 50-1984 and Older, Top 5-1985 and newer, Top 5 Trucks and Top 5 Imports.
