Albion, IN – In response to the local impact of COVID-19 on Noble County’s small businesses, a coalition of local economic development partners has announced a new initiative called SHOPNoble.

Leaders from all five Noble County Chambers of Commerce, the Noble County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and Visit Noble County have come together to launch a new website aimed at providing a one-stop resource for residents and businesses to shop local.

Any local restaurant, retail or other small businesses that employs 0-20 employees and is engaged in providing products or services to residents and other local businesses in Noble County is invited to submit a profile of their business to be included in a new online website that will feature an online SHOPNoble directory. Adding a business, and all related promotional efforts the coalition also plans to provide, are free. Discussions have included SHOPNoble events, branded signs, social media and more.

To add a business, go to http://www.shopnoblein.com and click on the “Add Your Business” link, fill out the digital form and submit. Options to help build a business profile include uploading a business logo (optional), contact information, current service options (walk-in, carry-out, home delivery, etc.) and hours. The directory will feature Eat and Drink, Shop, and Service categories to highlight restaurants and other food and beverage providers, retail establishments, and service providers.

As changes in business occur over the coming weeks, participants may continue to update their business listing by submitting an Edit Listing form, also available on the website.

Developers plan to continue to enhance SHOPNoble beyond the COVID-19 crisis to serve as a platform to support local small businesses. Organizers will add new resources and services to help create an ecosystem in Noble County that encourages new businesses and helps existing small businesses enhance sustainability and grow.

For more information, visit the SHOPNoble website, call the EDC at (260) 636-3800 or contact any Noble County chamber of commerce.
