Enter and win a holiday basket from the CVB

A dried lavender bouquet and sachet from The Lavender Lane near Rome City will freshen your home if you win one of the the holiday baskets given away by the Noble County Convention & Visitors Bureau. The drawing will be Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Kendallville Chamber of Commerce, 122 S. Main St. Check back daily to see more of the great products from Noble County’s visitor attractions.

  • Register online at the bureau’s website, www.visitnoblecounty.com ;
  • “Like” the Noble County CVB on our Facebook page
  • Fill out an entry form at the CVB office in the chamber building
  • Entries close at noon on Jan. 6

Celebrate Christmas in the Country this weekend

Albion S.T.A.R. Team and Chamber of Commerce: Christmas in the Village in downtown Albion. Open houses for businesses and organizations from 4-7 p.m.; see their beautiful decorations, enjoy refreshments and sign up to win Chamber Buck gift certificates. S.T.A.R. Bazaar offers a variety of vendors, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Albion Opera House, 107 W. Jefferson St., on the north side of the courthouse. Santa Claus arrives at 6:50 p.m. on a horse-drawn wagon. Lighting of the Tree ceremony, 7 p.m. on the northeast corner of the courthouse square with the Noble County Saddle Club caroling on horseback and collecting non-perishable food items. Kendallville-area family farm wins preservation award

Indiana Landmarks and Indiana Farm Bureau present Arnold Award to Feightner Farm

On Farmer’s Day (August 13) at the Indiana State Fair, the Feightner Farm will receive the 2014 John Arnold Award for Rural Preservation from Indiana Landmarks and Indiana Farm Bureau. Mark and Donna Feighnter run the 125-acre farm that straddles County Road 500 east near Kendallville. His great-grandfather founded the farm in 1903. (more…)
